The Structural Welding and Fabrication Program at Central Colorado Welding School (CCWS) is designed to give students the hands-on skills and technical knowledge they need to launch a successful welding career. The Structural Welding and Fabrication Program at Central Colorado Welding School (CCWS) is designed to give students the hands-on skills and technical knowledge they need to launch a successful welding career. Our training follows the AWS Fundamentals of Welding curriculum, covering both theory and practice. Students gain experience in:
Welding processes and certifications:
• SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
• FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding)
• FCAW-G (Gas-Shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding)
• GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
Core technical skills:
• Welding safety and safe shop practices
• Blueprint reading and weld symbols
• Machine setup and filler metal selection
• Practical application of fabrication math and measurement
• Metallurgy and material properties

4 days per week, Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
1–2 hours of lecture per day
8–9 hours of hands-on welding practice

• AWS online learning portal access with certificates for each completed online program
• In-class lecture and instruction
• All test materials and welding consumables
• All welding certifications and final diploma
• PPE basics: safety glasses, ear plugs, and welding gloves
• Not included: Steel-toe boots and a welding hood (recommendations provided)

• Receive AWS online learning certificates and a CCWS diploma
• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

Tuition: $18,000 for 12 weeks (480Hours)

The Structural Welding Certification Program. This is a 1 week (40hr) class based on SMAW(Stick welding) and one certification. Students will have the opportunity to gain an AWS certification in one position. Students must take SMAW first before persuing other certifications and welding processes, unless student can show an AWS Certification in SMAW. The Structural Welding Certification Program at Central Colorado Welding School (CCWS) is designed to give students the hands-on skill in the SMAW process and have the opportunity to obtain an AWS welder certification in one position. The course is an immersive 1 week (40hr) class.

Our training covers one welding process only, Students must take SMAW first or present an AWS Certification showing they have gained the qualifications to explore other processes. options listed below:

Weekend Hobbyist
The Weekend Hobbyist Program is designed for Artists, homeowners, hobby welders, or anyone who is interested in at home welding. The course is one weekend a month for 16hrs (2 full 8 hour days). Click the links below to learn more about this program and enroll today!

The Weekend Hobbyist Program at Central Colorado Welding School (CCWS) is designed to give students a solid foundation in hobbyist welding and fabrication.

Our training covers GMAW (MIG) welding basics with fabrication basics. Students will build a small project to take home with them.
